How to log in to the KPay POS system?

KPay Smart POS Terminal supports Wi-Fi and Data SIM card:

Connect Wi-Fi
  1. Opening “Settings” to connect Wi-Fi
  2. Press “KPay POS” to launch the KPay Smart POS Terminal
Insert SIM card
  1. Open the battery trap door
  2. Insert 4G Standard SIM card
  3. Press “KPay POS” to launch the KPay Smart POS Terminal
Warm Reminder

Unregistered pre-paid SIM cards are deactivated from 24 February 2023. Please ensure you have completed real name registration for your SIM card in KPay Smart POS Terminal.

Installing paper roll

Installing paper roll

  1. Open the paper tray
  2. Insert the paper roll with the printable side up as shown.
    The end of the paper roll should stay close to the tooth of the POS Terminal paper roll

  1. Select “Sale”
  2. Enter Amount
  3. Confirm payment amount and select payment methods
  4. Tap card:
    Hold the card / smartphone close to the landing zone for a few seconds
    Insert / Swipe card:
    Confirm Credit card details
  5. Transaction completed with 1 set printed receipt (Cardholder copy & Merchant copy)
QR code

  1. Select “Sale”
  2. Enter Amount
  3. Confirm payment amount and press “Pay By QR Code Scan”
  4. Scan customer’s QR code
  5. Transaction completed with 1 set printed receipt (Cardholder copy & Merchant copy)
Octopus payment

To perform Octopus payment transactions, linking “Octopus App for Business” to KPay Smart POS Terminal is required. Please contact KPay Customer Service for details.


  1. Select “Sale”
  2. Enter Amount
  3. Confirm payment amount and press “Pay By Octopus”
  4. Place the Octopus by the NFC landing zone and wait for a few seconds
  5. Transaction completed with 1 set printed receipt (Cardholder copy & Merchant copy)

How can I order the paper rolls?

You may contact our Customer Support through Hotline or WhatsApp to order paper rolls. It takes around 3 working days.

  1. How to know if the payment transaction is successful?
    Only successful transaction sales receipts will be printed out.
    Please contact KPay Customer Service if you have any hesitation.

  2. Reversal success means transaction success?
    “Reversal success” or “Reversal failure” also means the transaction is failed.
    Merchants should retry until the transaction is successful.
    Merchants should also record customer’s contact details to avoid any lost from network issues.

  3. How can I void the Octopus transaction through KPay Smart POS Terminal?
    You can’t void the Octopus transaction on KPay Smart POS Terminal, you can only refund to customer by cash.

  4. How can I order the paper rolls?
    You may contact our Customer Support through Hotline or WhatsApp to order paper rolls. It takes around 3 working days.

  5. Do I need to do settlement every day?
    In order to ensure the POS terminal performs smoothly, we are now advising our merchants to perform settlement on a daily basis.

  6. Does KPay POS Terminal support “Tap & Go”?
    Customers shall add their Tap & Go card to Apple Wallet or Google Pay, and pay through NFC contactless payment.

  7. Does KPay POS Terminal support “BoC Pay”?
    KPay POS Terminal supports BoC Pay if the merchant activated UnionPay App.

  8. Previous Transaction incomplete” shown on POS Terminal, what should I do?
    Merchants should perform settlement on POS Terminal and re-login the POS system.

  9. The POS Terminal keeps closing unexpectedly, what should I do?
    Merchants should perform settlement on POS Terminal and re-login the POS system.

How to log in to the KPay POS system?

How to log in to the KPay POS system?

KPay Merchant App users could log in to KConnect platform by registered email or scanning a QR code. If you leave your device / equipment idle for 15 minutes or above when using our online service, our system will automatically logout itself to prevent any unauthorised access.

Logging with a QR code

  1. Open KPay Merchant App
  2. Open the QR code reader in KPay Merchant App Kconnect
  3. Scan the QR code to log in to KConnect

The KConnect login details and password should be consistent with the KPay Merchant App.
