Enabling Truly Seamless Travel and Worry-Free Payments

Hong Kong, December 19, 2025 — KPay, a one-stop financial management and business operations platform, has announced a strategic partnership with local taxi fleet Amigo. The collaboration integrates Amigo taxis with KPay payment systems, enabling passengers to make instant transactions with drivers via onboard KPay Terminal Pro, the next-gen payment terminal. This eliminates the hassle of cash change, delivering a truly seamless and worry-free taxi ride experience.

This partnership comprehensively upgrades the in-vehicle payment experience: All taxis in the Amigo fleet are now fully equipped with the KPay Terminal Pro. A single device supports 20+ local and 30+ overseas digital payment methods*, covering the payment options commonly used by both local and international travelers.

Passengers no longer need to use cash upon reaching their destination - the payment process is extremely fast and convenient. For drivers, the KPay Terminal Pro is simple and easy to use, while the system automatically reconciles accounts, significantly reducing cash-related risks and tedious administrative tasks, as well as increasing ride opportunities and overall income. In the past, some travelers gave up taking taxis because they could not exchange Hong Kong dollars in time; now, they can simply complete payment using a digital wallet or credit card.

KPay has always been committed to supporting growth of businesses across various industries, while actively promoting the integration of digital payments into citizens' daily lives and merchants' routine operations. This taxi digital payment solution launched in partnership with Amigo accelerates the widespread adoption of digital payments in the local transportation sector, benefiting both passengers and drivers.

Kelly Tang, General Manager of KPay Hong Kong, stated: "We are delighted to see more and more taxis adopting KPay's digital payment collection solutions. Through a simple and secure system, both local and overseas passengers can enjoy cashless payments with ease. This not only enhances the riding experience but also propels Hong Kong's overall transportation services toward a smarter and more internationalised future. KPay will continue to collaborate with the industry to drive digital transformation, bringing more convenient and reliable experiences to citizens' lives and travelers' journeys."

Edward Tong, Head of Fleet, Amigo, stated that Amigo has always aimed to deliver an outstanding and convenient local travel experience for passengers, and the in-depth cooperation with KPay is the best solution to achieve this goal. "Integrating KPay's digital payment technology into our tech-centric smart fleet management system will usher urban mobility into the era of cashless payments, bringing a smarter riding experience to passengers. Moving forward, we will continue to combine large-scale operations with intelligent technology to inject new vitality into Hong Kong's public transportation, aligning with the government's vision to promote a smart city."

Looking ahead, both parties will further expand the scale of cooperation to cover more taxis. Amigo is also preparing to launch new vehicle models; at the same time, it will continue to recruit qualified drivers and offer welcome bonuses or incentives^; and step up promotion of airport dedicated rides, corporate bookings, and travel for people with disabilities, allowing more local and international travelers to enjoy a safe, comfortable, smart, and convenient taxi experience.
